The burger: Medium cheeseburger ($3.54). If lunch on this stretch of Airport is good enough for UT coach Mack Brown, it's good enough for us. I'm no cheerleader for shredded lettuce, but as part of a package with pickles, onions and tomato, this burger makes the most of Angus beef for an old-fashioned flat-top grill flavor, bookended by a squishy, toasted bun. The sky looks bigger from the windows here somehow, and that sky gets enough jet traffic that Airport Boulevard lives up to its old namesake again, even if those planes are on their way to Bergstrom now.

Fries or rings? Rings ($1.79/$2.49). Because they're burnt orange, and Mack Brown's Horns need all the support they can get. Extra points for fryer oil as clear as last season's tears.
